Sky Glass TV
Installation
The Sky Glass is Sky TV built into the screen — no separate box, no HDMI cable from a box to the TV. But it still needs a power cable and ethernet connection routed cleanly to the wall. We handle the full installation and get your Sky streaming up and running on the wall. Part of our full TV wall mounting service.
We have installed Sky Glass TVs across London and the South East — a wide TV-size range from 43" to 65", including Sky Glass 2. We know the cable requirements before we arrive.
About This TV
What Makes the Sky Glass Different
Sky Glass is not a standard TV with a Sky box attached. Sky designed it as a single product — Sky TV built into the screen. Which is exactly why its installation has specific requirements.
Why People Buy It
Built-In Sky TV
No satellite dish, no separate box, no HDMI clutter. Sky Glass streams all Sky content over your home broadband. The TV is the product — sleek, minimal, designed to look good on a wall. Built-in Dolby Atmos soundbar means no separate speaker is needed.
What Cables Are Actually Needed
Not As Cable-Free As It Looks
Sky Glass still needs a power cable and — for reliable 4K streaming — a wired ethernet connection to your router. Many customers are surprised by this. Surface trunking or in-wall cable hiding makes the result look completely clean.

The Installation Difference
Built-In Soundbar Changes Everything
Unlike a standard TV, Sky Glass has a built-in soundbar running along the bottom. This means the TV must be mounted at exactly the right height — the soundbar must not be obstructed by furniture below. We assess viewing height and soundbar clearance before marking the wall.
Sky Glass is designed to live on the wall. Getting the height right and cables hidden makes it look exactly as Sky intended.
What We Do
The Full Sky Glass Installation
Sky Glass has specific requirements a standard TV install does not cover. Here is everything we handle — as part of our professional TV mounting service.
Cable Routing for Sky Glass
Power and ethernet cables routed cleanly — surface trunking along the wall or fully concealed behind it. We confirm the ethernet route from your router to the TV location before installation.
Soundbar Height Assessment
The built-in soundbar must not be obstructed. We assess the correct mounting height for your room — accounting for furniture clearance, eye level, and soundbar projection — before any drilling.
Bracket Supply & Fitting
Sky Glass uses standard VESA mounting. If you’d like a bracket, we’ll add the right one to your quote and bring it on the day; if you’d rather supply your own, we’ll fit it; we also carry brackets in the van for your wall type and confirm the weight rating before installation.
Sky Streaming Setup
Once mounted and connected, we verify your Sky Glass connects to your broadband, completes its setup process, and streaming is working correctly before we leave.

Real reviews from our Google Business Profile
“Raihan and Muhammad did an awesome job with my 65" sky glass TV, couldn't be happier with it. I've tried mounting TVs in the past and it didn't go so well, thought I'd give this service a try and I'm glad I did! Well worth the money”
Shak H.
“Mount TV came to mount our Sky Glass TV on to the wall recently. They were punctual and very professional, and I would definitely use them again. Highly recommend, thank you!”

Common Questions
Sky Glass Installation FAQ
Does Sky Glass need any cables when wall-mounted?
Yes — Sky Glass still needs a power cable and an ethernet connection (strongly recommended for reliable 4K streaming). Despite having no separate Sky box, the TV itself requires these two cables routed to the wall. We route them cleanly using surface trunking or in-wall concealment so the result looks completely cable-free.
Does Sky Glass need a satellite dish?
No. Sky Glass does not require a satellite dish at all. It streams all Sky content — live TV, Sky Cinema, Sky Sports, and on-demand — over your home broadband connection. As long as you have a sufficiently fast internet connection and ideally a wired ethernet run to the TV location, Sky Glass works without any aerial or dish.
Can the Sky Glass built-in soundbar be obstructed when wall-mounted?
Yes, if the TV is mounted too low. Sky Glass has a built-in soundbar running along the bottom of the screen. If furniture sits directly in front of or level with the soundbar, the audio projection is blocked and sound quality is significantly reduced. We assess the correct mounting height for your room — accounting for furniture clearance, eye level, and soundbar projection — before any drilling takes place.
What bracket does Sky Glass need?
Sky Glass uses a standard VESA wall mount pattern — it does not require a proprietary bracket. However, the correct bracket must be rated for the weight of your specific Sky Glass model and size, and the wall fixings must match your wall type. If you’d like a bracket, we’ll add the right one to your quote and bring it on the day; if you’d rather supply your own, we’ll fit it; we also carry brackets in the van for your installation.
Can you hide the cables on a Sky Glass TV?
Yes. The two cables Sky Glass needs — power and ethernet — can be hidden using surface trunking along the wall or routed fully behind the plasterboard wall for a completely clean finish. The ethernet route from your router to the TV location needs planning before installation, as the run length and path affect which method works best. We assess this before any work begins.
