Are my walls suitable for wall mounting a TV?

Most brick or concrete walls are fine for TV wall mounting regardless of TV size. Plasterboard walls have some limitations as they may not be able to carry heavier TVs without stud or specialist fixings. We assess your wall before drilling and advise on the best approach — there is almost always a solution.

Is it safe to mount a TV on a plasterboard wall?

Yes, it is completely safe to mount a TV on a plasterboard wall as long as you use the right screws and follow specialist guidelines. Plasterboard walls have some limitations around TV size and bracket type. We can advise you on exactly what is possible when we assess your wall.

Does mounting a TV damage the wall?

Wall mounting needs drilling — typically four to six small holes (6–8mm) covered by the bracket plate, so nothing is visible from the front once the TV is mounted. The bracket pattern is chosen to match your TV's VESA fixing points and the wall's stud or fixing positions, so we never drill more than we need. We lay dust sheets before drilling and vacuum the area afterwards. Done carefully and to a professional standard.

Do I need to supply a TV wall bracket?

Either works. If you ask for a bracket when you book, we add the right type and VESA size to your quote and bring it on the day. If you already have one, we will fit it. We also carry brackets in the van — so if you change your mind on the day or your bracket turns out to be wrong, you can buy one from us on the spot. The right bracket depends on TV size, weight, wall type, and the position you want — see our bracket installation guide.

Do I need to supply any tools or equipment?

No. Our installers bring all necessary tools and equipment — drill, wall plugs, screws, screwdriver, spirit level, stud finder, and dust sheets. You do not need to provide anything.

Can you mount different types of brackets?

Yes. We can install any type of bracket: flat/fixed, tilt, swivel, and full motion. We are also experienced with all major bracket manufacturers including Sanus, Vogel, Duronic, VonHaus, Bontec, AVF, Sandstorm, Invision, and many more. See our bracket installation service.

Do I need to do anything before my appointment?

Please ensure: an adult with decision-making authority is present throughout; your TV is ready for mounting; the area around the mounting location is clear for easy access; and you have any accessories you want connected (HDMI cables, optical cables, extension leads, etc.).

Can you hide the cables?

Yes. We offer two options: surface trunking (a neat plastic channel on the wall that hides cables cleanly) or fully hidden behind the plasterboard wall for the cleanest possible finish. See our cable hiding service for details and pricing.

How long will the job take?

Each installation normally takes 45–90 minutes depending on complexity, some may take more. Jobs with additional work — cable hiding, soundbar mounting, multiple devices connected — sit at the longer end of that range. We will give you a realistic time estimate when we discuss your job.

Can my TV be wall mounted on plasterboard without a stud?

Yes, in many cases. For smaller, lighter TVs (generally under 50") we can use specialist plasterboard fixings that provide a strong, safe mount without requiring a stud. For larger, heavier TVs we always recommend locating a stud or using a specialist fixing system. We assess this on the day.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, bank transfer, and card (contactless accepted). Payment is due on completion — we never ask for a deposit. Your quoted scope = quoted price; any extras (additional services or materials) are agreed and priced upfront before work starts.

What areas do you cover?

We cover all 32 London boroughs plus Essex, Kent, Surrey, and Cambridgeshire. See all areas we cover or enter your postcode in our quote tool to instantly check if we cover your area.

Can I add cables behind my TV after the installation?

It depends on the TV and bracket. Some TVs have easy cable access after mounting, but others may require removing the TV from the bracket to add additional cables. We can advise on this during the installation — just let us know in advance if you are likely to need to add cables later.

I started mounting it myself and now need help — can you finish the job?

Yes. This is more common than you might think. Give us a call and describe what has been done so far. We will assess whether we can take over from where you left off, and quote you accordingly.

Will you make a mess?

We take this seriously. We lay dust sheets before drilling, clean up all debris, and leave the installation area exactly as we found it — minus the cables on the floor. Our clean, tidy work is one of the most frequently mentioned points in our reviews.

Can you help me choose where to mount my TV?

Absolutely. We advise on the ideal viewing height (typically eye level when seated), the best wall for your room layout, and any considerations around glare or viewing angles. Choosing the right position is part of the service — you are not expected to know this in advance.
