The Hisense U7 is heavier than most buyers expect for a mid-range TV. We assess the wall and confirm fixings for the actual weight before drilling — the approach differs at 75" and above.
Bracket Supply & Fitting
No bracket in box. If you’d like a bracket, we’ll add the right one to your quote and bring it on the day; if you’d rather supply your own, we’ll fit it; we also carry brackets in the van for your U7 size, wall type, and VESA pattern. With Mini-LED depth, some slim brackets do not provide adequate cable clearance — we bring the right one.
Cable Management
Gaming setups often mean multiple HDMI cables. We route all cables through surface trunking or in-wall for a clean finish — planned before the bracket goes up to avoid redoing work.
Gaming & Picture Setup
Once mounted, we enable 144Hz Game Mode, configure VRR and ALLM, connect to Wi-Fi, and set up VIDAA OS. The U7 panel performs best with the right settings from day one — especially for gaming.

What bracket does the Hisense U7 need?
The Hisense U7 does not include a wall mount bracket — only a stand. The correct bracket must match the VESA pattern and support the actual weight of your U7 size. VESA patterns vary between the 55" and larger models. If you’d like a bracket, we’ll add the right one to your quote and bring it on the day; if you’d rather supply your own, we’ll fit it; we also carry brackets in the van for your specific U7 size and wall type — confirmed before we arrive.
Can a plasterboard wall hold a Hisense U7?
Yes — but plasterboard alone cannot support the weight of a Hisense U7, especially at 75" and above where the TV exceeds 30kg. We use specialist cavity fixings or locate and fix into the timber or metal studs behind the plasterboard. The wall is assessed before drilling and the correct fixing method is confirmed for your TV size.
What is the difference between the Hisense U7 and U8?
The U8 has more local dimming zones, higher peak brightness (3,000+ nits vs 1,000+ nits on the U7), and IMAX Enhanced certification. The U7 focuses more on gaming performance — 144Hz across a wide TV-size range with lower input lag. Both are Mini-LED, but the U7 is the better choice for gamers on a budget while the U8 is aimed at cinematic viewing.
How do you manage cables on the Hisense U7?
We route cables through surface trunking or fully behind the plasterboard wall for a clean finish. Mini-LED panels like the U7 have deeper connection areas than OLED TVs, so cable routing is planned before the bracket goes up. For gaming setups with multiple HDMI cables (console, PC, soundbar), we ensure all connections are accessible without disturbing the mount.
