Installation Difference
No Bracket Included
The U8 does not include a wall bracket — only a stand. The correct bracket must be sourced for the VESA pattern and weight. With Mini-LED depth, some slim brackets are not thick enough for cable clearance. We bring the right bracket for your U8 size.

Weight Assessment & Wall Fixings
Mini-LED TVs are heavier than standard LED. We assess the wall and confirm fixings for the actual U8 weight before drilling. The approach differs from a standard LED installation — especially at 65" and above.
Bracket Supply & Fitting
No bracket in box. If you’d like a bracket, we’ll add the right one to your quote and bring it on the day; if you’d rather supply your own, we’ll fit it; we also carry brackets in the van for your U8 size, wall type, and VESA pattern. With Mini-LED depth, some slim brackets do not provide adequate cable clearance — we bring the right one.
Cable Management
Mini-LED panels have deeper connections than OLED — we route cables through surface trunking or in-wall for a clean finish. Cable routing is planned before the bracket goes up to avoid redoing work.
Picture Setup
Once mounted, we activate IMAX Enhanced, configure local dimming settings, connect to Wi-Fi, and set up VIDAA OS so the TV is ready to use. The U8 panel looks its best with the right settings from day one.

How heavy is the Hisense U8?
The Hisense U8 is significantly heavier than most buyers expect for a "budget" TV. The Mini-LED backlighting system adds weight compared to standard LED TVs. The U8N 65" is around 27kg, the 75" around 38kg, and the 85" around 52kg (per Hisense's published specifications). This is heavier than many premium OLED TVs at the same size. We confirm the correct wall fixings for the actual weight before drilling — the approach will differ from a standard LED TV installation.
Can the Hisense U8 be mounted on a plasterboard wall?
Yes — but plasterboard alone cannot support the weight of a Hisense U8, particularly at 65" and above. We use specialist cavity fixings or locate and fix into the wall studs behind the plasterboard. We assess the wall structure before drilling and confirm the correct fixing method for your TV size. For larger U8 models we prefer stud-mounted fixings for maximum security.
What picture settings should I use for the Hisense U8 after wall mounting?
Once mounted, we activate IMAX Enhanced mode on your U8, configure the local dimming settings for your room brightness, and set up Dolby Vision IQ. These settings make a significant difference to how the Mini-LED panel performs — IMAX Enhanced in particular is worth configuring from the start. We connect to your Wi-Fi and set up VIDAA OS so the TV is ready to use before we leave.
What is the VESA pattern on the Hisense U8?
The VESA pattern on the Hisense U8 varies by screen size. The 55" and 65" models typically use a different VESA pattern from the 75" and 85" models. We confirm the exact VESA pattern for your specific U8 size and model (U8N or U8QG) before arriving — and bring the correct bracket to match.
