I have a Victorian terrace in the Romsey/Mill Road area — what wall type will I have?+
Victorian terraces around Mill Road, Romsey, and Petersfield almost always have solid brick walls — external walls, party walls, and chimney breasts. These are excellent for TV mounting with very secure fixings. Internal partition walls may be original lathe-and-plaster or more recently replaced with plasterboard. We check before drilling on every job.
I live in a new-build in Eddington or Trumpington Meadows — can you mount on plasterboard?+
Yes — new-build plasterboard walls are one of our specialities. We use specialist cavity fixings (grip-it anchors or stud-mounted brackets) rated well above any TV weight. New developments in Eddington, Trumpington Meadows, Clay Farm, and Northstowe are almost entirely plasterboard internally. We carry all the right fixings and never use standard screws in plasterboard.
